We are very pleased to share with you our End of Year Attainment Data for the last academic year. As you will have read in the press, schools and pupils face a harder testing regime in their SATs.

Nevertheless, we are hugely pleased with the outcome and as you can see our figures compare more than favourably with not only our local schools, but also those in Warwickshire and the country as a whole.

I am very proud of what we have achieved yet again, and it is a testament to the hard work of the children and dedication, skills of our staff. Our data continues to be high in ALL areas, but we also never underestimate the help we receive from parents and carers who encourage and assist at all times. You too should take a great deal of the credit for such excellent percentage figures.

End of Key Stage Results -  2015/2016

We are very pleased to share with you our End of Year attainment data for the last academic year. As you will have read in the press, schools and pupils last year faced a new and harder testing  regime in their SATs and coupled with radically new  reporting arrangements which  no longer involve the old style levels,  everything  feels a little bit different this year.

Nevertheless,  we are  hugely  pleased with the  outcomes and as you  can see  our  figures we compare more than favourably with not only our local school, but also those in Warwickshire and the country as whole.

I am very proud of what we have achieved yet again, and it  is a testament to the hard work, dedication, skills and  adaptability of our staff  that our data continues to be high in ALL areas.

We also never underestimate the help we receive from parents and  careers  who encourage  and  assist at all times, you too should take a great deal of the credit for such excellent percentage figures.

Key Stage 2 Results

May 2016 was the first year of the new Key Stage 2 tests in Maths, Reading, Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling; the tests assess children against a national standard. This year’s tests are the first to reflect the new primary curriculum, which was introduced in 2014. As this is the first year of the new tests the results look different from those of previous years and cannot be compared with them directly.

The government introduced a new curriculum and expect children to achieve higher standards than before. This is because they want every child to leave primary school having mastered the skills in reading, writing and maths so that they can reach their potential at secondary school and throughout their adult life. Results are no longer reported as levels and each pupil receives their test results as a scaled score and teacher assessments based on the standards.

The results for St Mary’s are shown next to the national comparison. The vast majority of our children have met the new higher expected standard. Well done to all our Year 6 pupils, their teachers past and present and parents who have put so much effort and hard work into achieving these super results.
